Automation rule is not triggered

Hi, 

I have created 2 JIRA automation rules and only 1 is working.

1st rule is to create a "Testing" task whenever an issue is transitioned to "QA Testing" status. 

2nd rule is when the "Testing" task is created, it will create subtasks.

However, the 2nd rule is not working. I have tried to manually create a "Testing" task and it works. 

Please advice.

Hi @Yohriza Carreon 

The way you describe your rules, the actions of Rule 1 are intended to trigger Rule 2.  Is this correct?

If so, look at Rule 2's details and ensure you check the box to "Allow rule trigger".  That will allow the one rule to fire the other. 

When it is not checked, there is code to prevent one rule rapidly firing another, and so causing a loopback situation and run-away triggering.

Check your workflow Post-function for the "Create issue" transition and ensure that the "Fire a generic event which can be processed by the listener" is available there.

Thank you for responding.

Rule 2 is not triggered because it is dependent on Rule 1. 
It worked when I allowed it to be triggered by another rule.
