Automation rule to copy Value from Linked issue to Epic link

Hi Team,

We need to automatically copy Linked issue field value (Validates if it is Epic) to the Epic link field.

When Bug is created, the linked issue field should be validated and if it contains an Epic then it automatically copies that value to the Epic link field.

Is this possible via automation in the Jira software cloud? Please suggest

Another solution would be to use the add-on Elements Copy & Sync, which I think lets you do just what you are asking.

I'm the Product Manager of the app and I would gladly answer any question you might have.

I'm just unsure of where your Bug is created from at the beginning. If your bug is created from another issue within the Epic, the Epic link could be copied automatically quite easily.

Yes, I believe it is possible to implement what you describe with an automation rule.  I suggest you take a look a the automation documentation and examples, try to create the rule, and if you run into problems post an image of your rule and what you believe is not working.  Then the community can offer ideas to help.
