I created an issue security scheme for a new project with two levels: staff (default) and DevOps. This new Issue Security scheme is associated with a project. When I go into the automation for that project and select the action Edit issue, I choose the field "Security level" and the only value it lists is the default (staff). How do I ensure that I can select the DevOps security level in automation?

Hello @Bob Murrell ,

Welcome to the Community!

I found a document that may help you to configure the automation rule as per your requirement.

You can try setting the rule as mentioned in the article: https://blog.isostech.com/atlassian/automating-issue-security-with-automation-for-jira

I hope it would help you :)

Hi @Bob Murrell

It's because you have not added in the DevOps security level, add yourself in the security role and edit the field in the automation. It will display the all the levels which you are added.
