Available text field renderers for Jira Software Data Center

Hello!

We're evaluating Jira Software as a leading candidate for a corporate task tracking system.

The requirements are forcing us to opt for a Data Center version. And unfortunately there are no available servers to test it properly on-site for another few weeks. A Cloud instance is currently used for modelling and testing.

Today we found out that the New Jira Issue View is not available in Server/DC editions.

And with that there could be a major problem for us. At least in Cloud version default wiki-style renderer for text fields is capable of working with tables (direct paste from source table / copy table from Issue), while the renderer that used in "old view" is not (tables became text entries upon paste to comment/description).

We also aware that in Server/DC a renderer can be changed to another one from plugins. But the lack of native feature could be a serious drawback in terms of comparison with other systems (ability to use tables in description and comments is absolutely essential for several processes).

Could someone please with the latest release of Data Center edition confirm that the default text renderer is that one?Screenshot 2021-02-25 212752.png

Are there definitely no other native (not a plugin) options that could be activated in settings? Like, for example, some beta-testing features.

For the history.

The wiki-style text renderer in Cloud's "old view" is different to the one used in Jira Server.

The one in Server version has a WYSIWYG capability and tables could be pasted as tables.
