I'm trying to get this analytic to work, but for some reason it's not showing any data for how long tickets were "in progress." We've got 10 or 11 versions of "in progress" that show up in the list (which apparently is a next-gen projects issue, so not a big pain), but even when I select all of them I still get no data in the graph. Not sure why that is -- any thoughts?
Hello @Tim Ludolph
As an alternative, you can try a third-party add-on - Time in Status for Jira Cloud.
This tool automatically measures the time an issue has spent in a specific status. You get automatically created reports about Average Time in Status. The application display both digital data (average time the issue has spent in status for a certain period of time (hour, day, week, month, quarter) and in the graph view.
Additionally, all this data can be monitored with the gadget for Jira Dashboard. There are 3 types of graphs: Pie, Bar and Area Charts.
That's actually what you need and a little more! If you have any additional questions, contact me
Best regards, Mariana.
We had to install an additional add-on. It was odd in that one status wasn't displaying in the graph. Still investigating that, but potentially it is due to a duplicate status? it will display in another graph all by itself. But for now we are running with what we have lol.

I know this is a little old, but what was the solution as I am having the same issue. If I pull only "In Progress" there is no issue with the graph. But if I try to get "In Progress" with any other status, "In Progress" will never appear.

Sorry for duplicated answers. This may be a bug.

Thanks, Mariana! I'd actually played w that some before and found it sorta worked, but still wasn't functioning the way I thought it should (ie despite using queries that filtered results for specific timeframes, statuses, and/or projects, the gadget still displayed more people, projects, statuses, and/or dates outside those for some reason). At least I a) wasn't missing something obvious w/in Jira itself and b) barking up the wrong tree for 3rd party apps. I'll keep tinkering w/it, see if I can get it to stop being wonky -- otherwise might just have to live w/o this analytic. Appreciate the help!

It seems you've made small mistakes in the filter, that is why it doesn't show the data.
Try to deal with it more and make sure all the tasks are displayed on the issue list and then compare it to a graph.
