Can we execute periodic backup tasks?

I would suggest taking a look at some of the many vendors in the Atlassian Marketplace that will much better do this function. AND provide for granular restore, including deleted issues, projects, etc.

Personally, I am an advisor for the Revyz set of tools and highly recommend the Revyz Data Manager app.
