Behaviours Plugin - Prevent Default Warning Popup when Issue Type is changed

Christina Hiller

I've implemented a behavior to set a default Description and mapped to one issue type within a project.  I've tried this by adding server side script to the field itself as well as in the initializer script (as shown in screenshot below)

Now, when a user attempts to Create an issue and starts off on the one mapped to a Behaviour to populate the description, to an issuetype that is not mapped, a pop-up notification is received.

Is there a way to disable this?

Hello Christina,

It looks like you have already predefined a text for the description field via the system fields.
This causes ScriptRunner Behaviors to conflict with the system.

Go to Jira Administration/Issues/System Fields then to the line of the "Description" field and click on the three dots and then on "Contexes and default values". There you will see that there are already predefined texts for the system field "Description".

The warning message from Script Runner only appears if a default value is already stored for the Description field in the same project or for the same issue type under the system fields.

I hope this has helped you.

Best regards,
Baris
