Branch names has 40 chars length limit

I have a problem when creating a branch from Jira Cloud. The branch name is cut and has a limit of 40 chars. Could you please help where I can increase the branch name limit?

Seconded. Its really annoying and AFAIK unnecessary. Its the one reason I still have to write my own branch names.

I also would like a solution to this. It's a hassle to manually copy my full ticket name into the branch name, and sometimes I forget and then have incomplete branch names.

The "funny" thing is you can add as about as many chars as you want after it's cut. No idea why they keep cutting the name at 40 chars...
