Hi
in my org we have 3 issues type: initiative - Milestone - Epic
Epic is required by Milestone
Initiative is parent of Epic
Initiative is parent of Milestone
how can i build hierarchy of initiative - > milestones-> Epics?
thanks
Hi
thanks for your answer... i might mis-leaded you...
im using the Structure ALM plug in - and there i want to build this hierarchy view
(initiative and milestone are entities we customized, it is not from the roadmap)
i dont know how to define that structure so it will give me the view i want from initiative level to the Epic level... (i already linked the issues between themselves - with parent/required by links)
thanks

Hi John - we just upgraded our plan to premium. I need to add a level above Epic. How do I do that? I am not seeing where I can configure the hierarchy. Thank you!

I could be wrong but ...
If you really want to use a full hierarchy inside Jira like this, you will need the enterprise edition with advanced roadmap functionality.
If not you can make your own Issue Types like "initiatives" ,"themes", "milestones" and create boards where you see an overview of all the milestones, ...
But there is no real "parent child" relationship like you have for epics and issues.
Especially if you want visuals like a tree structure showing a milestone with all its initiatives and epics and stories and the relationships between them ... that won't be possible out of the box.
