×Currently, the burndown chart shows progress only when the issue is moved to a status of Done. However, before the sprint closes, progress is being made on a story, but the chart will only show that progress when the whole story is in Done status. I think this does not fully reflect the reality and the remaining value line will never be below the guideline value line, which is what should happen.
It feels as if the small progress the team makes on an issue is not actually visible, even if the progress does happen.

If you are using Story Points for estimation, this is expected behavior.
Jira supports the use of time, as well. If your Agile Board(s) is(are) set to use "Remaining Estimate" as its measure of effort, and people "log work" against the issue, you can get more granularity.
