Can I add a Link to Confluence page that is in another Cloud Instance?

Our company uses two Jira cloud instances.

  •  'Jira Cloud Instance A' Has a primary confluence link to confluence the that is included in that instance.
  • I set up an application link between 'Jira Cloud Instance A' and Confluence in 'Jira Cloud Instance B'

I am able to easily include Jira issues and filters form 'Jira Cloud Instance A' into Confluence pages in 'Jira Cloud Instance B' So the application link is working that way.

However in Jira on 'Cloud Instance A' I don't see any option in to be able to link a Confluence page from 'Jira Cloud Instance B' from within the Jira ticket.

It only lists 'spaces' from the Confluence that is on 'Jira Cloud Instance A'.

Have a missed a configuration step?

I think I found a different workaround. I pasted a Jira issue link from 'Cloud Instance A' into a Confluence article on 'Jira Cloud Instance B'.

Then I went to the that Jira issue on 'Cloud Instance A'. The confluence article link was in the issue, but I need to authenticate before I could open it. After I authenticated I could see and access the article from the 'Cloud Instance A' Jira issue.

Then I logged in as another use to see if they could see the the article too. They could.

Now when I add a Confluence article in a Jira issue on 'Cloud Instance A' I am able add articles from the Confluence spaces on 'Jira Cloud Instance B' without any problem.
