At the top of my project pages I have a "create" bar. It allows me, with a single click, to create a new feature or epic (we're using agile issue types). Can these buttons be mdoified to include other issue types, or be replaced with others if I'd like? And, if I can, how?
The dropdown for Issue Type will show all available issue types for that particular project. Here's how to associate additional issue types with your project:

Note, you're not modifying the button so much as the options available in the dropdowns. I hope this helps.
Thanks for the quick response, Justin. I did see where my issue types were available in the "Other" drop-down, but I was hoping to change the two buttons that gave one-click access to creating issues (see my updated question above for a screen shot). If these can't be changed, we'll just use the "Other" drop-down, but it would be nice to just click and go!

got it, thanks for the screenshot. it looks like the 2 that show are based on the order you've put your issue types in. this can be adjusted in the administration screens under "issue types" --> issue type schemes (it's a tab across the top) then find your scheme and hit "edit". you can then drag and drop to change the oder. in terms of adding more than 2 types to this screen...I bet it's possible, but that starts to get into custom scripting that goes way beyond my scope of knowledge.
