Can I clear data and do a re-import?

Daniel Glenn April 16, 2012

I am about to sign up to the OnDemand (Jira and Confluence).

To make sure the migration goes smoothly I want to spend a few days doing a test import and making sure all looks good.

Then I would like to clear down the imported data and re-import from scratch.

Am I able to do this? Or should I do my testing on a different account?

Thanks,

Daniel

Hi Daniel, in case you selected the Download version here are a few ways to clear all data:

But as this is not your case, when you do an import, you do it to various projects, then after you do the tests you could erase all the projects, users and so on. Like my answer in the question indicated above.

It seems that I can't do a full import into Confluence anyway - only by space. These can be deleted, and then re-imported so shouldn't be an issue.

I will see how it goes for Jira and add any comments here.
