Can I control the sort order of the 'Suggestions' offered by JIRA when entering data in a field?

Currently JIRA shows Suggestions based on prior entries in ascending order. So, if this is a field showing a product version, which typically increases over time, the suggestion show me the older versions, not the most recent.
So, in a prior session I entered 'Product-2.3.0', but as I type 'Product', JIRA offers suggestions of 'Product-1.0.0', etc...
I'd like it to suggest 'Product-2.3.0', so it sounds like it's a matter of changing the sort order.

Any way to control this sort order?

Welcome to Atlassian community :)

I'm afraid that Jira does not allow any possibility to configure the order of Suggestions, and the order is therefore "hardcoded" based on the entered text.
