Can I create default descriptions based on issue types?

Can I create a default description type based on the issue type? For instance, if someone adds a Story issue I would want the description to include the typical "As a <type of user> I want to <some goal>, etc." and then they can modify it as needed.

You can give a try the option of "Behavior" if you are using Script Runner plugin in your instance  https://scriptrunner.adaptavist.com/latest/jira/behaviours-overview.html
