In Jira some of our projects are of Basic Development Project type, so are not managed with agile methodology. There are strict deadlines on issues and managers are most interested in on-time delivery. Of course, they would occasionally like to get a report reflecting employees who are late on delivery, count of issues that are done in time and those that are late etc. Is there a report like that in Jira or is using JQL the only way?
The second part of my question partly depends on the answer of the first one. Say I have an issue with Medium priority that I need to get done by Aug 10, 2018. And suddenly I get assigned another issue with a higher priority that I need to get done by Aug 11, 2018. (How) does Jira handle that? The higher priority issues need to get done before the ones with lower priorities, but then the deadline cannot be caught up with.
We are managing similar reports on dashboards.
We created some filters such as below and grouped them by assignee;
due <= 5d (5 days till due date)
due <= now() (due date already passes)
We also have filter subscriptions not to miss due dates
