Can I integrate Jira Server and Slack with a self-signed certificate?

I found : Slack requires that the Jira instance is accessible through the internet via a secure connection (HTTPS). Therefore, you need to open up your secure port and make sure that the server has a valid certificate.

Is a self-signed certificate valid?

You can check the discussion here which states that the "Self-signed SSL certificates are not accepted. If you don't have a valid signed certificated, you can obtain one for free at https://letsencrypt.org/."
