Can I re-order the list of versions on a board?

I have a backlog and put all the items into appropriate epics.  I then have Versions which we want to correspond to actual software releases to production.  Since the versions were named and populated with epics/stories, we have chosen to reprioritize which version will come out ahead of others.  Is there a way to re-order the versions going down the left of the backlog page? I try dragging, but that doesn't work.

The order in which the versions are arranged in the project administration => manage version section is the order that reflects in the board as well.
