Can I use JQL to search within Issue History

Hello,

I am trying to find an Issue which was moved from Project A to Project B.

In Project A, it had an issue key of A-119, now that it has been moved to a different project, i don't know what the new issue key is. Is there a way I can find the new issue key using JQL or another method using the original issue key?

Thank you

Vish

Hi @Vish Reddy {Revyz} ,

You may use the old issue key to search for the Issue, It will still appear even its have already has a new issue key.

Thanks!

Adding more to this explanation...

When an issue is moved from one project to another Jira keeps track of that change in a separate "table". That "table" is used by search functions to automatically redirect from the original issue key to the same issue under its new key. So you can enter the original issue key into any search-like function and Jira will automatically bring up the issues showing its new key.
