Hey, I set together with my Developers in a Big Affinity Estimation that lasted a whole day. We estimated about 400 Epics that have to be accomplished in the next 2 Years. When those Epics come closer we will create User Stories and estimate those as well. In the End the Epics will have 2 different Story Point Values:
To get an more accurate Roadmap/Timeplan it would be useful if Jira can somehow take the deviation between the "Original Epic Estimation" and "Sum of User Stories" in to account.
Is there any Functunality or Plugin that can do this for me?
Hello,
I just wanted to let you know that the described can indeed by achieved with Structure app by simply adding the Original Estimate column to a structure and aggregating its values from the bottom to the top. As a result, Original Estimate value will be displayed:
Structure also has the Formula column which allows to calculate your own values, based on existing Jira fields’ values, e.g. the difference between an Epics own Original Estimate and Original Estimate of its User Stories, or something else.
If you would be interested to try Structure, please feel free to reach us at support.almworks.com and we will be glad to answer all your questions and help you out with the settings.

Hi Hana,
thanks for your quick answer. This Feature adds mostly Progress Bars and time budgets. It is close to what i thought of but what i really need is a Plugin that calculates our "standard deviation" whenever we reestimate epics on the user story level.
Maybe a little bit more Background:
We dont know all the work included in an epic right now, hence it is difficult to estimate the exact story points.... When an Epic comes closer our PO together with the Team and stakeholders breaks it down in to smaller User Stories that we will estimate again. So between this Sum of all User Stories and the original Estimate of the Epic there will be a difference. to handle exactly this difference i need an add-on.

Felix

Hi,
I've been thinking about it - maybe you could you use Structure to obtain numbers you need.
