Let's say I have a task with 10 sub-tasks. 5 of those sub-tasks have an attachment. To find out which sub-tasks have an attachment, I will need to open all 10 tasks one by one.
Is there a way to show an indication like a paperclip icon next to the status of an issue to give a clue that the issue has an attachment
?
Hi @Idrees ,
what i would do is i would click on view in search from the three dots next to subtasks
i would be redirected to filters
would add one line "attachments is NOT EMPTY "
i would get a list of issues which contains attachments in them
as @Alex Koxaras _Relational_ there no option for field this would be like a workaround if you have list of items and you would like to now which item has attachments instead opening them one by one you can this one line of filter query and get the output
Hope this helps :)

Hi @Idrees
Unfortunately you can't do that in cloud. Maybe in the marketplace there is an app which can do what you want, but it will not be for sure on the modules created by atlassian. I mean in the above example, I know for sure that in jira server/dc there is an app which let you create your own columns on related issues. But this is made on a different component and not on that of jira. Hope I make myself clear :)

Hi @Idrees
just for another approach: If you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, you may want to have a look at the app that my team is working on, JXL for Jira.
JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view that allows viewing, inline-editing, sorting, and filtering by all your issue fields, much like you’d do in e.g. Excel or Google Sheets. Among these fields are, of course, an issue's attachments (as well as the number of attachments, and the attachments size). JXL also supports Jira's issue hierarchy with just one click, meaning that you can easily view sub-tasks below their parent tasks.
This is how this looks in action:
You can also easily sort and filter by the number of attachments, highlight rows with attachments using the conditional formatting feature, and much moire.
Just note that - as you can see above - this is not a "per issue view", but would typically be used to show lists of issues. Depending on your exact use case, this may or may not be helpful.
Any questions just let me know,
Best,
Hannes

Thanks, @Hannes Obweger - JXL for Jira for the suggestion and your answer. I'll keep this in mind for the future use case.
