Can anyone point me to a list of the definitions that explain the different Jira priorities?

I am looking for a clearly defined list of the below priority status' any help would be greatly appreciated. 

Blocker

Highest Critical

Medium

Low / Minor

Very Low

Low

Minor

Hello @David Whitworth ,

well if I understand correctly, you can find the description of these specific priorities in Settings -> Issues -> Issue Attributes -> Priorities. Priorities are well described there.

However, you can adjust these prirorities absolutely by your liking. You can adjust the name, description and icons of these. You can also create absolutely new priority.

Hello @David Whitworth , here are some of the definitions we use. Here is a nice write up on Organizing issues with priority to optimize delivery 
 

  • Blocker - Need to stop other work to get this one done asap.
  • Critical - Needs to be the top priority for the current sprint
  • Major - Important functionality that helps a large number of users
  • Minor - Default Priority, typical day to day work
  • Low - Low priority
