Can epic and tasks within be automated in JIRA 7.13

Hi All,

We currently have JIRA 7.13 and there is an ask to automate epic and task creations. For instance, if the workflow is in a design status, a new epic and all tasks within had to be automatically created.  Once the epic is completed, it should automatically go back to the appropriate transition in the workflow which has the design status.

We have jira 7.13 software (server) that is currently is use.

Can you kindly let know if the above is possible.

There are several plugins that will support this. Automation for Jira is one that works outside of a Workflow to support this kind of automation. You can also build it within a workflow with one of the plugins such as JMWE or JWT. You cannot get this behavior without a plugin.
