Can i link a completed issue to a existing epic ?

Fo some reason i can't see the epic link field in the completed issue. Is this a restriction in Jira ?

@ranil.fernando , there are no restrictions on such updates by default. You can update the fields after completing the issue as well. 

Please check the field is present on the relevant screen and screen layout.
