Hi everyone, I iam trying to document a bug in Jira, but I can’t see the ‘Create’ button or the option to attach files (screenshots/videos). Here’s what I’ve tried:
Checked different projects – no ‘Create’ button visible.
Looked for the paperclip icon in descriptions – not there.
Refreshed/switched browsers (Chrome/Firefox) – same issue.
Questions:
Is this a permissions problem, or did Jira’s UI recently change?
Are there hidden settings or alternate ways to attach files?
Any help is appreciated (Using Jira Cloud, latest version.)
Hello @Gabriel A_ Samuel , as @Mohamed Benziane said, it might be a permission issue. If you don't see the "Create" button, it usually means that you don't have the "Create Issues" permissions in the particular project. Try to reach out to your Jira Admin to confirm your project permissions. Hovewer, even with issue creation access, you might need "Create Attachments" permission. So ask your Admin to check it (Project Settings - Permissions).
The "Create" button should appear in the top navigation bar, as @Rajat Pratap Singh mentioned. Though when you edit or comment on an issue, the paperclip icon should be inside the "+" button dropdown:
So, if you have access to at least view the issues in the project, try to open the existing issue and see if you can add the attachment there.

Daria

Hi,
the create button should be at the upper middle right of your screen with the new UI. If you can't see it I will guess that you have no permission to create issue in any project of your instance.
can you provide a screenshot ?

There is a new navigation now in Jira cloud.
You will see a 'Create' button next to the big search bar on the top of the Jira page:
Hope this helps!

Rajat
