I've exported an Excel CSV file from my Project and uploaded additional issue / task line items in the same format. I re-upload this file and it errors out. I've tried this a million different ways, utilizing chatGPT, etc but nothing is working. What is wrong with the file? Or rather, why is this so difficult?!
Hi @Alyssa Restauro and welcome to the Community! What is the error you're getting? Can you also include a screenshot of a portion of the csv file with the column headers?
Hello,
Welcome to community :)
Kindly let us know the error you face while importing the file to jira
Please let us know the steps you followed as well for the same
Thank you,
Prachi

Hey @Alyssa Restauro and welcome to the Atlassian Community.
Are you able to provide some info on the kind of error you're seeing (code, or message?) as it could be a lot of different causes, so narrowing it down would be helpful to troubleshoot with you.
I'll also take the chance to shamelessly plug our app Visor, which has a bi-directional integration with Jira (and a CSV import), and gives people a better way to view their data in a spreadsheet format, update it, and push it back into Jira.
Of course you can also use Visor to paste in your data from a CSV, ensure it's structured correctly and then push it into Jira too. Visor gives you a way to bulk upload, update, and share your Jira issues, plus a lot more too.
