Can't change the security for an issue to block non-Administrators from viewing

Rob Fleischmann August 7, 2018

I have Viewable by "All Users" and "Administrators" available in the drop down selection at the "lock" on the bottom of an edited issue; however, when I selected "Administrators" it always reverts back to "All Users" and the rest of my staff can view the Issue (even though they are not Administrators).

I've read through all instructions and followed through, but to no avail.

Are you referring to comments?

Thanks Raynard,

I guess that's what it refers to - the comment only - I was hoping to restrict the entire issue to be viewed by Administrators only.

I'm trying to figure out how to do that for some issues that already exist (that I put in).

Hi Rob,

Raynard is correct, what you are describing is specifically for comment visibility.

If you want to restrict the entire issue itself, you will want to Configure issue-level security.  This document describes the steps needed for you to be able to hide specific issues from sets of users entirely.

I hope this helps.

Andy
