Can't delete a sprint even with correct permissions

Hello,

We have a user who needs to delete a sprint for his project. He project is using the correct permission scheme.

Within the permission scheme he has the 'manage sprint' permission and also has the 'Administer Project' permission. He has the 'administrator_' role applied to these permission.

However he cannot delete the sprint.

According to documentation I sure I've followed what is in there. Is there any other permission that I am missing that could be preventing this?

Thanks!

Ok I managed to figure it out.

In my case our projects contains sprints which shows issues from all other projects which made it more complex so this is what I did

1. Make sure I have the 'Manage sprint', 'Administer project' 'Browse project' permission on the correct permission scheme

2. Make sure the Filter for my project shows projects under 'Projects in board'. You need to modify your JQL. This link should help

https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiracloud/using-manage-sprints-permission-for-advanced-cases-800708249.html

You should see projects like this

3. Last thing is make sure you have 'Manage sprint', 'Administer project' 'Browse project' on ALL the projects that are related to your main project.

After this you should be able to delete sprints. Hope this helps people out

Hi @Hoc ,

I noticed that the project role name is ‘administrators_’.

It is not the default ‘administrators’ of the system, please confirm whether the user is matched to the correct role.

BTW, please note whether this board spans multiple projects, you need to give this user this permission in each project.

Hi @Ollie Guan

Yeah, that role is the role that this user has on the project. This board is shared with all users.

Is this where I check which project it is shared with?

Hi @Hoc ,

Click here to take a look at the query conditions of JQL.
