I try to connect by JIRA server to HipChat and after I try to setup 'global integration' I get the following error:
Unable to install integration
The value must be an absolute URL
What url are you entering?
I'm not entering an URL, I'm redirected to Hipchat from my local JIRA server when connecting hipchat.

Ok, are you using https, and what have you got set for your Jira's base url in general configuration?

I'm not using https and the site is locally hosted on http://orange:1080. This used to work with the old integration ..

Right. What have you got the base url for Jira set to, and do you get the dashboard when you visit the url you've got for the base?

The base url for jira is http://orange:1080 which is a server on our local intranet. (i couldn't answer yesterday due to my answers.atlassion.com score of 0)

Well, that error usually occurs when the base url of the JIRA is set incorrectly (it's passed to hipchat, which then can't link back if the url is wrong). The next question is "where are you running hipchat, and can that see http://orange:1080?";
