When I`m trying to remove the issues in Cloud Jira.Structure, this type of Error appears: Corresponding changes via Structure are not allowed. You were removing issue XXX

How can I fix this?

Hello Daria,

This error can occur when trying to remove an issue that was added by a generator. Generators add certain issues in a certain way to a structure and it is not possible to do any changes in the structure that can contradict the rules of existing generators. So, for example, if you have an Insert generator that adds issues that match a specific JQL query then it will not be possible to remove any of the added issues from the structure for as long as the generator is still there - the generator automatically adds everything that matches the given query and when an issue is removed from a structure, it continues to match the query so the generator just adds it to the structure again. So removing of issues, in this case, is simply restricted because it will not lead to desired results.

If you want to remove an issue from a structure that is built automatically be generators, this issue should be excluded from the scope of the structure's generators. If the issue is added by an Insert generator, then the generator's JQL query should not include this issue and then the issue simply won't be added to the structure in the first place.

I hope this helps. Please feel free to contact us directly at support.almworks.com if you need further assistance, we'll be glad to look into your use-case in more detail.

Best regards,

Hi @Stepan Kholodov _ALM Works_

Unfortunately your answer doesn't help.

I get the error when I want to move tasks from a generator into a static structure of memos and folders.

Best regards, Rolf

Hello @Rolf Lader

Please note - the answer above is specifically related to deleting issues from a dynamic structure. What you're describing seems to be a completely different use-case about moving items from one place to another. This can be potentially achieved in different ways, depending of your setup, and on what exactly you want to have as a result.

Please contact us directly at our support portal, and we'll have a look at your structure, and suggest something specific.

Best regards,
Stepan

Hi @Stepan Kholodov _Tempo_ ,

Your explanation is unfortunately a litte bit too long for the actual solution.

It is described in the Tempo article https://help.tempo.io/structure-dc/latest/manual-adjustments where you can use the Allow manual adjustments of generated content option to achieve the desired behavior.

Best regards, Rolf

@Rolf Lader

Please note: this post is

1. Relevant to Structure Cloud, not to Structure on Data Center to which the article you mentioned relates;
2. The manual adjustments feature doesn't exist in Structure Cloud at the moment;
3. Even if it was available on Cloud, manual adjustments doesn't allow to delete issues that are added by Insert generators - what was initially asked about by the author of this post almost 5 years ago.

I hope this answers your questions.
If you need any assistance with Structure on Data Center, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at our portal.

Best regards,
Stepan
