I was invited to join a JIRA board, but the error that I get is as per below. I have waited 2 weeks for someone to get back to me. No one has and I am still unable to access.
Please help!!
There are two filters that must be shared. The jql query that underlies the board should be shared to the group you are in, then the board should be shared to the group you are in. It often happens that someone shares the board, but not the filter that underlies the board view. As the board creator to confirm that both are shared with you.
Hi Kelly, So it appears you are on the Free version and that is why you are hitting the Community for assistance.
You indicate that you were invited to a "board". If that is the case but you cannot access then I'm thinking maybe it is a board share issue. However, if you are saying that you were added as a new user to a jira instance then can I ask if you received the invite email? For the given error above can you tell me where you were at and what you were doing to get that error?

Thanks Jack!
ok I got an email saying that I’ve been invited to a board and my team is waiting for me. There’s a “Join them now” blue button at the bottom of the email.
I click on that and it will go to JIRA login page. I put my email and pw, and it will go to dashboard view and this error will appear on the bottom right corner.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Can you try a different browser? So are successfully logged in? That is, can you access other aspects of the Jira instance successfully, e.g. create new issues?

Everyone else collaborating on the same board don’t seem to have this issue. I’ve tried safari (am on the Mac) and then Chrome but both give me the same error 😓

I would have you admin look closely at your permissions and ensure the board and filter are shared. Have them compare you to other users not having the issue.
