When I receive platform notifications and then come on to the platform, the bell icon shows the number of all the notifications received since the last time I checked the notification centre.
If I scroll past a few of them, and I mark some as read and others not, the next time I come on to the platform, the number shown won't count the notifications I didn't mark as read in my previous visit.
It would be ideal if this can be configured to always count the ones I didn't marked as read, as I leave them unread because I haven't had time to go over their corresponding JIRA issues.
It can currently be problematic as if there are no new notifications the 2nd time I visit the platform, it makes it look like I have no unread notifications.
This should be the answer:
I've confirmed with multiple individuals that using my script allows to work through the whole backlog of notifications to mark them as read.
Is this the same issue as https://community.atlassian.com/t5/user/myprofilepage/tab/user-subscriptions%3Abookmark-subscriptions ?
