The use case was to restrict the Stories creation under an epic when the epic is in Done Status.

I have found the solution to this -

Hi @Puneet Khandelwal

As I understand you want to add stories below Epics. For company managed projects, you can use "Epic Link" to link your stories to Epics. And for team managed projects, you can use "Add Parent" to link to an Epic. You can also use "Issue Links" to create multi level hierarchy for different issue types.

Also if you wish to see complete hierarchy of your Epics, you can use our add-on Agile Tools, to track progress of issues in Epic hierarchy on time estimates and at story points as well.

Agile Tools - Epic Tree and Time in Status

The add-on allows you to manage and visualize multiple Epics hierarchy on a single page. Also add-on provides a hierarchy of a single Epic on Epic Issue screen.

Key features of Epic Hierarchy:

  • Epic Sum up - Roll up for Time estimates and Story Points
  • Excel like editing for key fields
  • Excel export of hierarchy data. Progress % on "remaining estimate" or "original estimates"
  • Support for custom names for Epic & Story fields
  • Epic Tree on Issue Screen
  • Custom field roll up

Along with Epic Sum, you also get 2 other important functionalities within the same plugin, Links Hierarchy and Multiple Time in Status reports (to track your issues).

@Puneet Khandelwal if you are talking about listing the stories on the epic then no.  Do you have a specific use case you are trying to implement?
