Can we upgrade JIRA from version 8.22.6 to 9.6.0 directly ?

Hi Team,

 Can we upgrade JIRA from version 8.22.6 to 9.6.0 directly ? All our addons are compatible. Just 2 or 3 are compatible when we upgrade both jira and addon. 

When we were on 6.x, and upgrading to 7.x, we did first 7.0 and then went for other version in 7.x.x. Should we follow same process here or can we do directly ?

We are on server.

There are no notes in the upgrade notes that indicate any problems while that upgrade.

In addition to @Nicolas Grossi comment, if it is no problem, if you upgrade at least once a year, there is no problem to update not to LTS, otherwise you might think.of staying with LTS.

But if you are required to have actual security issues fixed, it might be easier to go for the latest release as you currently plan, because backports to LTS take a significant amount of time currently.
