Hello,

We currently have an on-prem installation of Confluence and JIRA.

We are in the process of upgrading our SQL Servers from SQL 2012 to SQL 2017.

Our DBA team has the following questions:

  1. does JIRA/Confluence works with SQL 2017
  2. Migration advice or documentation.

JIRA:

  • Version: 7.2.4
  • Build Number: 72006

Confluence:

  • Version: 6.7.1
  • Build Number: 7601

Thank you.

Hi @Glenn Matsushima ,

Jira 7.2 and Confluence 6.7 will support only SQL 2012 and SQL 2014. So, you first need to upgrade both applications to a version that supports both 2012 and 2017, and then perform the SQL Server upgrade.

Let me know if this helps,
