Can you customize the Jira/Kanban Board by inserting a text box on the page.

Is it possible to insert a text box, where we can add/modify comments, that will be there for some time. Anywhere on the Kanban screen.

It's possible only by writing your own plugin that will do this

To start building a plugin follow the jira developer guide on Atlassian docs (you can find it in google).

Will show you location of web-panels, web-items locations in Jira screens.

You should be able to continue from there
