Can you explain the calculations and the chart in general for workload on the sprint report page. there is no proper legend, the calculations are done based on issue count, the option to swicth to story points doesn't work and I do not understand how the number of issues actually relate to a percentage. the total percentages do not add up to 100 and I just can't work it out. Is there some proper guidance available on how it is calculated and what good use cases for it are please.
Hi @Mic Streeter
Welcome to the Community!
Thanks for your question! 🙌
From the screenshot you shared, it looks like you're referring to the "Workload" section in the Time In Status Sprint Report. However, just to be sure, I recommend reaching out to our SaaSJet Support or email us at support@saasjet.atlassian.net, so they can confirm the exact report you're looking at and provide personalized assistance.
To give a bit of context:
🔹 "Workload" refers to the volume of work assigned to each team member in the sprint.
🔹 The bar graph shows the percentage of total sprint workload each person had – based on the issue count (not story points, which may explain some of the confusion).
🔹 The percentages are calculated using the formula:
(Committed + Added - Removed) / Total Sprint Commitment × 100
🔹 Bright segments = committed & added work; lighter segments = removed work.
The sum may not always be exactly 100% due to rounding or overlapping assignments (e.g., shared tasks or unassigned issues). Also, we understand the story points toggle may not be working as expected—our support can help check that too.
