Can you save a template of transferable tasks?

Is there a way to save a template of tasks, so that we can quickly and easily transfer the same identical tasks from one project to another without having to re-create them each time we start a new project that requires the same tasks.

Hi, Kellen.

This is not a feature in JIRA, but may be available in some plugin.

However, there's a workaround you may want to try:

1. Create an issue that will only be used as template (don't change it in any way)
2. When you need another issue with that format:
   1. Clone the issue
   2. Move the clone to another project (if it should indeed be in a different project)

This is not a perfect solution, but may make your life easier. The downside is that you'll have an open ticket that you'll have to tell other users not to edit.
