I am on the free plan. I added two users. They should have access to all projects and boards. And they can access the projects. However, one the project has a board already they cannot access at all. It shows Project not found!! This is weird because they can access the project along with its filters and almost every single thing about it from the menu above. Only the board and the backlog are not accessible.
I have tried:
- Editing the filter and share it with the new users.
- Removing and adding them.
- Permission is wide open to any logged in user (which is the default in free plan any way).
What am I missing here? Cannot believe I have wasted 8 hours trying to fix this. If this how the free plan works, I will not upgrade to the paid one just to overcome a bug in Jira!
Although the filter can be opened by the other users, I found out in the board settings that the filter is set to private.
Hello, Good day. Please us know the following information.
1. This is company company-managed or Team-managed project?
2. Users can access the issue URL directly?
3. Check if users can access the filter directly (filter that is used in the board)
4. If this is company managed project board, then check the location of the board as well.

1. Company-managed.
2. Yes and view the issues in list format. Only the board and the backlog are not accessible. They can access other projects boards and backlogs though!
3. Yes, they can.
4. What does that mean? 🤔 how to check the location of the board?

Thanks for the response. Refer to this link to find the location of the board : https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/change-the-location-of-a-board/

Ok. This is weird. Although the filter can be opened by the other users, I found out in the board settings that the filter is set to private. I have opened its viewing settings to all roles. Will check with other users now.

Possibly you have two different filters with similar name?

No. The very same filter. I opened it in the browser, copy and paste the URL to the team and this how they have been using it for the last week!

Confirmed. This fixed it. I don't know why there are two permissions to view a filter - one for the filter and one for the board! This is really confusing and waste of time.
