Hello, one of the users on the Jira instance I'm administering tried to create some issues through sending emails, however Jira didn't create these tickets. When the inbox was checked, the emails were there.
I tested out the connection and received this error:
"Unfortunately no connection was possible. Review the errors below and rectify:
Looking closer, it seems all emails that use the same host as the inbox I'm having trouble with get this error.
The inboxes that use a different host seem to connect fine. What might be the problem and how can I fix it?
Hi Shirley
are you able to connect to the "fault" mail server by using for example telnet to verify that you can reach it at all and to ensure that no firewall rules are blocking the access
Cheers
Kurt
Hi Kurt, I tested out the server connection this morning and it went through quite quickly. I sent an email to the inbox as a test and it was successfully created as a ticket within Jira. I'm not sure what might have happened, but it seems like it's been fixed now
