Cannot add user, all the user directories are read-only.

When I access the jira server via browser and try to compete the setup on the "

Set up administrator account

" .. I am getting the error as: Cannot add user, all the user directories are read-only. 

 

OS Version : CentOS Linux release 7.6.1810
Cores : 4
Memory : 8GB
Disk : 480GB

 

Java JDK 1.8 Update 221
PostgreSQL database server and database client v9.6
Atlassian JIRA 7.1.4-#71008

Hi @Saurabh Srivastava , 

In some of the scenarios, it was due to the database driver. You can update to the supported database driver.

You can ensure that the installation as well as the Home Directory has the proper permissions.

Verify the dbconfig.xml file for the proper configuration and still, If this does not work, then remove the home directory and restart JIRA.

Please login with local admin which belongs to internal directory and then try. I think you are trying with you LDAP or crowd user that's why.

Sorry, please ignore my above comment,  i did not read your post completely, you are trying to complete the step up , i thought you are trying to update the existing directories

yes Ramzan, I was trying to finish up the setup I am stuck at this point. 

Not really getting any clue to move ahead from here.
