Last weekend we upgraded our Jira from 4.1 to 4.4.4. After that we have been unable to upload attachments when using the Firefox browser. (We have tried FF versions 4, 9 and 10). The error we get is Cannot attach file <file name="">: Unable to communicate with JIRA., where the <file name=""> is the name of the file. The problem is reproducable both with Windows and Linux clients. With IE and Chrome there have been no problems.

We have seen the case https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-24166 and tried removing the useHttpOnly=true attribute, but it didn't help, so it seems to be a different case.

We are running jdk1.7.0_02 on the server.

Do you get the same error with jdk 1.6? I'm asking since 1.7 is not yet supported officially. http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Supported+Platforms
