Anytime I want to find an assignee I get this error.

The Jira server was contacted but has returned an error response. We are unsure of the result of this operation.

It happens as I type a letter. After each letter, this pops up and I cannot filter out. IT is very annoying and I need a quick fix. Can you please help me?

I tried it with Chrome, Brave, and another browsers

Hello @Lukas Kotatko,

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

Thank you for sharing the screenshot.

This error that you are facing is related to the "Browse users and groups" global permission.

To fix this issue, you must talk to your Administrator and ask them to go to Cog icon > System > Global permissions and add a group you are member of on "Browse users and groups".

There is a feature suggesting to improve this message to show why it's not possible to search for users:

Please, talk to your Jira Administrator and if you have any other questions regarding this matter, let us know.

Regards,
Angélica

Hi @Lukas Kotatko

Welcome to the Community.

If you've tried it on multiple browsers I think the next step is to contact Atlassian support as they should be able to assist.

Hope that helps,

Regards, Liam
