Cannot run JIRA and Confluence together

Hi,

I have recently purchased JIRA and Confluence together and I'm having a number of issues in settingmythese 2 services togetherinmy local machine. Herearethe following:

1. Cannot run JIRA and Confluence together. I have to explicitly switch off one of the twoserviceto make the other run. 
2. Cannot create a user, as admin for the either of the service. 
3. Cannot login into JIRA even after resetting passwordto hash-coded 'admin' as showninthe Atlassian guideline site. Each login attempts follows endless CAPTCHA verifications. 

My company seems in a very critical situation. Any technical support/phone-number at this point will be very helpful.
