Cannot view some tasks in Gantt Chart. Showing up only as "You do not have access to this task"

I'm working on organizing tasks for my team our Gantt Chart (using BigPicture add on). I'm an Admin and the reporter for many of the tasks entered for my team, but several tasks are only showing up as "You do not have access to this task" on my Gantt chart view. 

I can see the task listed in my issues list view in Jira and I'm listed as the reporter and everything seems normal, so why is the task not showing up in my Gantt chart view? 

The tasks are still open (status set to "To Do"). Some of my team are having this issue with the tasks assigned to them as well.

Any advice on fixing this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Well, now it is showing up properly. This morning it was only showing me the "You don't have access to this task" space in place of where the task should be listed in the Gantt view.

I'm currently assuming that it was some sort of system glitch as I didn't change any major settings.

Hi Andrea,

Are you still facing this problem? If so, did you try clearing plugin's cache (Add-ons –> BigPicture –> Technical Info) and performing re-sync (keyboard shortcut –> rr)?

Commonly, the user can notice "You don't have access to this task" if he/she doesn't have permissions to Browse Projects. If these hidden tasks are sprints, you need to check your permissions to Manage Sprints. 

It is probably most comfortable to use Jira permission helper(just type dot(.) and "permission helper" once the prompt comes up. Select the proper options(browse issue permissions included) and see if you actually have them. If not then you need to add these permissions for yourself.

Hi, I'm having a similar problem that Erica describes – team members who I've given Normal access to boards can't see those boards in Big Picture Gantt – even after waiting overnight and restarting computer. 

Gantt chart displays "You do not have access to this task" instead of the project details.

I don't understand your instructions to resynch/clear Big Picture cache. I can't find the Technical info menu. How does keyboard shortcut RR work? Press R twice? Maybe some screenshots would help?

If my team have this bad experience when I introduce them to Trello Big Picture it reduces their confidence in the software. It should just work, not be so buggy on entry.
