Cant receive email notifications

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!

Email notifications are not sent to my email. In the past i used this same account with the same company and everything was ok. Maybe some bug? I only can see notifications inside the web for mentions or card status updates, but i don't receive Attlassian/Confluence/Jira emails. Everything on the path /jira/settings/personal/notifications is checked.

Welcome to the community :) 

I understand you are unable to receive emails. I suspect it could be added to the suppression list.

Adding to the suppression list is a mechanism to avoid spamming recipient mail servers and indicating that an error has occurred, having identified they are not available to receive the email. The recipient may not be available due to various reasons some of which are, but are not limited to - DNS Resolution, Mailbox being full, Network issues, Firewall rules, Mailbox unavailable, Mail Servers facing reach-ability issues, User not set, mailbox being inactive, etc.

 

There is a self-serve option available to check and unsuppress your emails.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble. Have you checked your email's junk/spam folder and your email filter rules?

If these actions cannot solve the problem, I highly recommend reaching out to the Atlassian Technical Team at Atlassian Support.

Welcome to the community!

To address the issue of not receiving email notifications from Jira Cloud, follow these streamlined steps:

  • Verify Your Email Address: Double-check that your Jira account's email address is updated to the new one and is correctly spelled.
  • Email Verification: Confirm you've clicked the verification link in any email sent by Jira after updating your email address.
  • Notification Settings: Ensure your Jira notification settings haven't been accidentally altered to disable email notifications.
  • Spam and Filters: Check your spam/junk folder and any email filters that might be redirecting Jira notifications away from your inbox.
  • Check Notification Scheme: Ensure the project's notification scheme is set up to send notifications for relevant events.

If all the above are OK, then open a Support ticket with Atlassian as it may be suppression for your domain.
