I want to generate a report (or filter) that shows the statuses of issues on a specific date.

I know a Sprint Report shows that (you can see the status of all issues on the date the sprint was closed), but there's no way to export the sprint report - when you view it as a filter it shows the current status of the issue instead of the status that it was on the date the sprint was closed.
Any idea how to achieve this?

Hi @Nitzan Goren  👋

Unfortunately, i don't know the way you can find with native gadget, but you can achieve it with Time in Status for Jira by SaaSJet.

You can view data as a Table or Chart. And use a Pivot to customize your reports as you need. Also you can create a  Gadget and control time in status data in the Issue List or Chart View.

Moreover, you can export all necessary data as a report in XLS or CVS files and set up a teamwork schedule to exclude non-working hours or days.

Also in add-on we have new feature Sprint Performance Report where we have all the metrics for each sprint. One of them is Team Velocity. Report available throw the Time In Status for Jira add-on.

I would be happy if you had a look at it!

Try Time In Status for Jira + Sprint Report for free.

You can also book a live demo - we'll show you the application inside out and answer all your questions.

Add-on has a 30-day free trial version and  free up to 10 users.
Have a nice day and happy sprinting 🥳
Hope it helps

Hello @Nitzan Goren

I don't know of any built-in way or a way introduced by an app to do this exact thing in Jira.

Our app Timepiece - Time in Status for Jira might help as a workaround. It is a long shot but might be worth mentioning.

Time in Status is a reporting app that mainly allows you to see how much total time each issue spent on each status. The interesting this for your case is: Time in Status has Trim History function. When this function is used, only the history of an issue for the selected "time window" is processed and all history before or after that window is ignored.

Below is a screenshot how a regular Status Duration report looks like in our app.

If you set the trim history dates to include only a single minute of that history (let's say the first minute of 2024) ...

tisCloud_StatusDuration_TrimHistory_OneMinute.png

... then you will get a report showing values only for statuses the issues were at in that selected minute.

tisCloud_StatusDuration_TrimHistory_Trimmed_OneMinute.png

This report effectively shows on which status issues were at the given time. You can export this to an Excel or CSV file for further processing.

(I'll accept that issues transitioned some time in that minute will have values for more than 1 column but I hope that is an acceptable compromise)

Hope this helps.
