Capturing GPS Coordinates with JIRA for Mobile

Hi,

We have a case to capture gps location upon resolving the ticket. This is aimed to ensure for assignee is doing an action from expected location.

How can we do this? Is there any addons which can support this case?

Hi Yusron,

I found an add-on for Cloud and JIRA up to 7.0.11 called the JIRA Mobile Connect Plugin.  It looks to be restricted to iOS and it does require manual configuration on the end user side via Xcode so depending on how many devices you're looking and where they are this may not be a feasible option.  Here is a link to the documentation.

If you are using a Mobile Device Management solution, another option I can think of would be to pass the GPS coordinates from that application to a Custom field in JIRA.
