Our company is planning to change the domain name. Currently it is setup as (example) https://jira.abc.comand we want it to change it to https://jira.xyz.com.
Is there a big impact if we do that? What are the things we need to configure to make sure nothing will be broken or erased?
Thanks in advance
Besides change the base url seems that you are running JIRA over SSL hence you should also change the certificate domain to match with the new one. I recommend to take a look on the documentation below:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Running+JIRA+over+SSL+or+HTTPS
Hope it helps!

Hi Dona,
Just be sure you change the base url in the server settings in Jira as links are generated based on base url.
