I would like the Start and End dates of JIRA tickets to change automatically based on the Start and End dates of the Sprints I schedule them in. Is this possible?

Hi @Bhargava Gade -- Welcome to the Atlassian community!

You could try the automation rules to set the fields once the sprint starts.  Maybe something like this:

  • Trigger: sprint started
  • Branch: for the issues in the sprint
  • Action: edit the Start Date, setting it to {{sprint.startDate}}
  • Action: edit the ???, setting it to {{sprint.endDate}}  I put ??? for this one because there is no End Date field.  You could use the Due Date, if that is what you meant.

Please look here for more information on the automation rules: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/automate-your-jira-cloud-processes-and-workflows/

Best regards,

Bill
